Trionic A2Z One Shot on YouTube

An instructional video is now available on YouTube showing how to use the Trionic A2Z One Shot System following its launch this month. It can be viewed by following the link below:

Ebiox launched the patented solution to the issues surrounding the correct dilution ratios and safe transfer of concentrated product into a trigger spray bottle.

There is an ongoing concern that the correct dilution ratios are maintained when using cleaner disinfectants, incorrect ratios can have an impact on efficacy and be a potential hazard to the user and damaging to materials.

Cleaner disinfectants used in a concentrated format has been know to have caused skin problems, even burns if the concentrate is spilt during the decanting process as either decanted from large containers, 5 litre being the most common or sachets.

Trionic A2Z solution has been independantly tested and proven to be Bactericidal, Virucidal, Fungicidal and Sporicidal.

There are added benefits in that storage space is decreased and transport costs and disposal of waste costs are reduced.

Study Shows Triclosan May Hinder Muscle Function

Conclusion of Study:

"Although triclosan was first developed to prevent bacterial infections in hospitals, its use has become widespread in antibacterial products used in the home. However, according to the Food and Drug Administration, other than its use in some toothpastes to prevent gingivitis, there is no evidence that triclosan provides other health benefits or that antibacterial soaps and body washes are more effective than regular soap and water. Experts also express concern about the possibility of resistant bacterial strains developing with the overuse of antibacterial products.

Because the chemical structure of triclosan resembles other toxic chemicals that persist in the environment, the
FDA and the Environmental Protection Agency are conducting new risk assessments of the chemical. Based on
their study outcomes, the researchers argue that the potential health risks call for greater restrictions.

“We have shown that triclosan potently impairs muscle functions by interfering with signaling between two
proteins that are of fundamental importance to life,” says Pessah. “Regulatory agencies should definitely be
reconsidering whether it should be allowed in consumer products.”

Says Hammock, “Triclosan can be useful in some instances, however it has become a ubiquitous ‘value added’
marketing factor that actually could be more harmful than helpful. At the very least, our findings call for a dramatic reduction in its use".

reduction in its use.”

WHO and Hand Hygiene!!!!

Ebiox has been driving the use of non alcohol hand rubs for a number of years now, offering Esense Hand Foam as a solution to those Healthcare Workers who have and issue with using alcohol based hand rubs.

This can be for a number of reasons, both problems in use or for religious and cultural reasons.

We already know the WHO has issued a directive that an alternative to ABHR's should be made available to those who will not use ABHR's on religious or cultural grounds.

Well buried deep in the WHO Guidelines on Hand Hygiene in Health Care: A Summary First Global Patient Safety Challenge Clean Care is Safer Care, © World Health Organization 2009, is the following;

"Provide alternative hand hygiene products for HCW's with confirmed allergies or adverse reactions to standard products used in the health-care setting".

We know that adverse reactions is one of the main areas reported as to why HCW's do not comply with Hand Hygiene protocols, but many decision makers will not change from ABHR's due to what is after all only a recommendation from the WHO (and CDC).

As we can see from the statement above, that there is not a real reason not to change.

Yes Ebiox would be delighted to convert totally a healthcare institution, but more importantly we have been striving to have Esense Hand Foam readily available to those who have issues with using ABHR's, therefore driving up compliance levels which ensures greater Duty of Care and safety to patients and staff.
